Steve Mayo, Pastor
work: (978) 342-4257
Pastor Steve started working in youth ministry in 1996, and entered seminary a couple of years later in order to fulfill God’s call in His life.  He graduated from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree.
In 2002 he accepted the call to be the full time youth pastor of the New Ipswich Congregational Church in New Ipswich, NH.  He was blessed to be a part of that community for two years.
After eight years in youth ministry, he was called to be the pastor of the Elm Street Church in October of 2004.  The Elm Street Church was looking for a pastor that would bring youth and vitality back to the church. The search committee found, in his mission statement, that Pastor Steve desired to be a part of a multi-generational church.
Since then, he has looked to make the church a place where people of different generations, as well as different ethnic and social backgrounds, will feel welcome.  He desires to help people to come into a close and personal relationship with Jesus.
Pastor Steve has a wonderful wife, Debbie, and has been blessed with three children.
A word from the Pastor
I would like to welcome you to the website for the Elm Street Community Church, where we desire for everyone to feel comfortable and at home.  It is our desire to do more than just have our vision statement – we desire to live our vision statement in every aspect of our lives.
We are not about a religion, but we are about relationships.  It is our desire that everyone who comes in the door will feel welcome, and that we can begin to break down generational, social, and ethnic barriers so that the body of Christ can worship God together.
We hope to see you some Sunday!
